This document is an official declaration of annexation of the Empire of Ethiopia by the Kingdom of Great Britain. As a result of the treaty, the territory of the Empire of Ethiopia including its overseas territories have been formally ceded to the Kingdom of Great Britain.
The main participants in the treaty were William Brawlmartin I, the Emperor of Ethiopia; and Lord Newcastle, the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
